Free Google review link and QR code generator

Google itself provides the link that opens your business's review form:

• Open your Google Business Profile, signed in with the account that manages it.
• Choose « Read reviews », then « Get more reviews ».
• Select « Copy »: the link, which usually starts with g.page/r/, is now on your clipboard.

Paste it into the generator. If you shared it by message, Google may have added a sentence around it: paste the whole thing, the generator picks out the link.

Creating the QR code for a client, or someone else manages the profile? Every business has a Place ID, a string of letters and digits that often starts with ChIJ. Google's free tool, linked below the generator's field, gives it for any business: search for its name, copy the ID, paste it. The generator builds the review form address from it.

Your profile's Maps address opens the profile, not the form: the customer still has to find the reviews, then the button to write one. At every step, some customers give up. That's why the generator refuses it, and tells you how to get the right one.

Your profile also offers a QR code, to save from a computer. The generator adds what is often missing when it's time to print:

• An SVG file, a vector a print shop can scale up without blurring, all the way to a poster.
• A 1024-pixel PNG, sharp on a table stand as on a receipt.
• From a phone, while the profile only creates its QR code on a computer.
• From a Place ID, without managing the profile.

Either way, the QR code is static: it contains Google's link and depends on no service. It works as long as your profile exists.

Make each side at least a tenth of the reading distance: 3 cm on a table, 20 cm on a shop window read from two metres. Keep a dark code on a light background, with a white margin around it, and write next to it what it opens, such as « Your review matters ». A static QR code goes straight to Google: it doesn't count scans, can't be corrected if your profile changes, and offers an unhappy customer nothing but the public rating.
