Reviews published on Abracarda pages

A professional using Abracarda can choose to collect their customers' reviews directly on their page, rather than on Google. These reviews are hosted and published by ITHABIT. This page describes how they are published and handled, in accordance with article L111-7-2 of the French consumer code (code de la consommation).

A review is published immediately, without prior moderation. Neither the professional nor Abracarda chooses which reviews appear.

Each review shows the name chosen by its author (first name or nickname), the rating out of 5, the text if any, the publication date and the month of the experience (visit or service) stated by the author.

Abracarda pays for no review and obtains none in exchange for any consideration.

Reviews are not verified: Abracarda does not check that their author was actually a customer of the professional. That is why every page carries the notice “unverified reviews”.

Several measures limit abuse, without amounting to verification: an anti-robot check, at most two reviews per page per connection each day, refusal of links, email addresses and phone numbers, and a professional logged into their account cannot rate their own page.

Reviews are sorted from newest to oldest. No review is promoted or demoted according to its rating.

The average rating is calculated over all published reviews of the profile, unweighted, and rounded to one decimal place. The thirty most recent reviews are displayed; the average does not depend on that number.

After choosing a rating, the visitor is always offered both options: publishing a review, or sending a private message to the professional. Depending on the rating chosen, one of the two is visually highlighted, but neither is removed: a dissatisfied visitor can always publish their review.

A review is published as soon as it is sent, without delay.

It remains published and kept for as long as the professional's page exists. It is deleted with the page, or earlier at its author's request or by a moderation decision. No shorter period applies.

The professional can reply publicly to each review; the reply appears under the review, with its date. They can neither edit nor delete a review. Abracarda may remove a reply from the professional for the same reasons as a review.

The author cannot edit their review once sent. They can ask for it to be removed at any time, at the address given in the next section.

No contact details are requested from the author: Abracarda therefore cannot contact them, either to verify their review or to inform them of its removal.

Publishing or having fake reviews published, including on one's own page or a competitor's, is a misleading commercial practice prohibited by the French consumer code. Abracarda removes clearly fake reviews it becomes aware of.

A review asks for no email or phone number. Only the display name, rating, text and date are recorded; the IP address is used, for the duration of the submission, to limit abuse, and is not kept. See the privacy policy.
